By The Seaside

I managed to grab a few shots on a recent trip to Brighton. I was immediately drawn to the wind turbines off out to sea on the horizon. unfortunately, I only had my Tamron 28-75mm lens and Sony 16-35mm lens with me so I couldn’t get very close but I quite liked the shot I ended up with which actually shows the scale of the wind farm.

These wide landscapes really seem to lend themselves to the 16:9 aspect ratio. They were all shot handheld with shutter speeds of between 0.4 to 1 second. I used a Hoya PROND200 ND filter to darken things down enough so that I had time to move the camera.

All the images were then adjusted for colour and contrast in Capture One Pro. I have been using this for a while now and I really enjoy working with it and also the results it produces. I had previously worked with Lightroom for many years. I recommend you give it a try if you can.
